Today was my Sabbath! Hume gives every fulltime staff person a paid day of once a year. They provide a lodge room here at Hume just for a day of reflection and relaxation with no distractions. However, when I woke up and saw how nasty it was outside(rain, snow, sleet), there was no way I was leaving my house! So I decided to serve my husband by organizing our closet!(Which is messy because of me!!) So I hunkered down, got Brad Bell's podcasts of Song of Solomon going, (which I highly recommend! You can find them on itunes under the name 'The Feed' or at thewellcommunity.org) Anyways..... here are some before and after pictures!

Tonight Josh and I went down the hill to see Shutter Island with my parents. It was a good movie but had some jumpy parts. We were going to go eat somewhere fancy but halfway down the hill we realized In&Out was cheaper, faster, and sounded good!! So that's where we went. Here are some pictures from dinner. I had a fun time taking pictures of all the verses on their cups/wrappers.

And here's a picture dad took of me wearing the mustache I got out of a 25 cent machine at the theater. Josh got a gold necklace, which he wore, but somehow managed to avoid a picture wearing it???

6 Months Ago Today..

I married the man of my dreams. It's a funny thing, getting married, because you aren't quite sure what you are going to get. Yes, Josh and I spent alot of time together.. but you just never quite know how they squeeze their toothpaste out or if they leave their clothes on the floor. You just have to trust God and trust the person, hope for the best and jump in head first. Well let me just say, I got a winner. Josh is the most amazing man I've ever met. He is probably one of the funniest person I know, but also one of the smartest. He is genuine, compassionate, and the hardest worker you will ever meet. I love so many things about him but I thought I'd list a few.

I love how when I say something dumb, he just raises his eyebrows and says, 'Oh yeah?'.

I love how he accepts that I only have one sock on because the other one came off in my boot and I was okay with just one sock.

I love how he knows what to say and do when I'm upset.

I love how he's the only one who knows my ticklish spot.

I love how he always, without fail, wakes me up to tell me bye when he leaves every morning. Even though sometimes I don't even open my eyes to acknowledge it.

I love when I fart and he says I'm cute.. sometimes.

I love his belly laugh.. the deep chuckle that only a few people have heard.

I love knowing that he is right next to me while I sleep, and that he fights back when I steal the covers.

And lastly, for now, I love that he loves Jesus more than me.

He is my best friend.. and I feel so lucky to be hitched to him for life!

Today... it's snowing. Again. I just took these pictures from my front porch in the dark and they actually turned out pretty cool. But, I'm done with snow!!!!

Well honestly I forgot about tonight's post! I haven't got up off the couch today and Josh came home sick from work so we literally laid around and did nothing! We just recently borrowed the show 'Pushing Daisies' from Austin and it's a really cute show. It can get pretty cheesy but that makes it easy to watch. So.... here's a picture of Matthew that is actually from yesterday but it's cute so it counts.

Today the Lord took a sweet little life to be with Him. I am sad, shocked, but mostly angry. I do not understand.. though I know He's in control. Here is me and Elyse the day she was born.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
When I came home from work today Josh had fixed me a bubble bath with candles and then fixed me a delicious dinner! I was so impressed because his cooking skills up to now have been.....frozen pizza! :) He made yummy fajitas!

Tonight I dropped the fingernail clippers in the toilet and mean old Josh made me get them out! Ewwwwww grossssssssssss

Today's picture is per request of my mother. These are my adorable coffee and tea canisters that I am fully in love with! I think they are so cute. She gave them to me for Christmas last year.

Here's sweet little sick Addison. She wanted 'ushp' or up hah. I seriously think her middle name should be Joy because I'm telling you she is the most joyful child I've ever met. Whether she's tired or even sick, she greets me with a smile and an 'ushp' Love her sooooo much.

Josh and me folding laundry. We are in crazy moodsssss! We are about to set up the air mattress for a camp out! Annnnnnnnd we are going to watch Snow White. So there.

Snow.. again. I'm kinda over it. Here's my view driving to work tonight. Icky icky.

So last November we received a package from Nielsen tv ratings. Normally I would have just thrown something like that away, but for some reason (Jesus probably) I opened it! And out fell $5.00 cash! I started asking around and a ton of people had either done it themselves or heard about it and said they really pay you! Apparently people are chosen at random.. no idea why we were chosen. We filled out the included survey and mailed it back, but didn't hear anything until just a few days ago. I was so excited when I saw we had another piece of mail from Nielsen so opened it right up and.... out fell $30.00 CASH! I was soooo excited. This time they sent us a 'tv diary'. For a week we are supposed to fill out everything we watch and then mail it back! I'm excited to see what they send us in return this time!
